The Commentary states: From here below is the third: commanding Mahākāśyapa. The text also has two parts: first the command, second the declination. This is the initial command. 'Mahākāśyapa' is translated here as 'Great Light-Drinker.' In high antiquity there was a ṛṣi whose skin was golden and who could drink the light of the sun and moon; Kāśyapa is his descendant. Furthermore, Mahākāśyapa's body also possessed golden light, drinking and eclipsing the sun and moon, hence he is named 'Light-Drinker.' The exposition of this cause and condition is as in the *Commentary on Maitreya*.
