贊曰：此中有二，一遣村坊相、二壞城邑相。入諸村坊聚落之所，想如空聚，勿見村坊。由他見我思念三寶，息惡務善，有十利益，故入城邑。利此眾生，非為餘故。

The Commentary states: Here there are two: first, dispelling the mark of villages; second, breaking the mark of cities. Entering places of villages and hamlets, conceive of them as an empty village, not seeing them as villages. Because others see me and become mindful of the Three Jewels, ceasing evil and pursuing good, which has ten benefits, one enters cities. It is to benefit these sentient beings, and for no other reason.
