贊曰：此總陳道屈。善現雖事平等修行乞食，未證空法，理猶未等。雖事無諍入里乞食，證理無諍尚猶未圓，所以被訶，故答不堪。

Commentary: This generally states the yielding of his attainment. Although Shanxian engaged in the practice of equality when begging for food, he had not yet realized empty phenomena, so in principle he was not yet equal. Although he engaged in non-disputation when entering the villages to beg for food, his realization of the principle of non-disputation was not yet complete. This is why he was rebuked, and therefore he replied that he was not capable.
