贊曰：下別明憶。有四：一值良緣，五百佛所；二發大因，種諸善根；三修大行，積習勝德；四希求大果，迴向菩提。舊文但三，合第二第三為一故。

Commentary: Below is the specific explanation of recollection. There are four points: first, encountering excellent conditions at the places of five hundred Buddhas; second, generating the great cause by planting all roots of goodness; third, cultivating great practices by accumulating and habituating superior virtues; fourth, aspiring to the great fruit by dedicating toward bodhi. The older text had only three, because it combined the second and the third into one.
