贊曰：此第二文，教發大心。說諸前事，今踵前心，故能發大心。初入佛法，不解軌儀，創聞妙理迴惶失錯，故捨出家之正軌而禮大士之卑足。

Commentary: This is the second text, teaching them to arouse the great mind. Having spoken of all those past matters, they now continued their previous intention; thus they were able to arouse the great mind. Having newly entered the Buddha-Dharma, they did not understand the formal rules of deportment; upon first hearing the wondrous truth, they were flustered and confused, and so they abandoned the correct norms of home-leaving and bowed down to the humble feet of the great being.
