贊曰：空理義云，世俗諦有、勝義諦空、究竟道中都無所有，此是空義，空者無故。應理義云：諸法之中究竟真如，無如所執。諸法有故，因空所顯，說為空義。

Commentary: The interpretation in accordance with the principle of emptiness says that conventional truth exists, ultimate truth is empty, and in the ultimate path there is nothing whatsoever; this is the meaning of emptiness, for emptiness means nonexistence. The interpretation in accordance with the principle of reality says: the ultimate tathatā among all phenomena does not exist in the manner grasped. Because all phenomena exist, it is revealed by means of emptiness and is spoken of as the meaning of emptiness.
