贊曰：下辭有三，此總陳道屈。其得天眼，有漏無記，有相非真。既被雙徵，便不能報，故初辭也。

The Commentary says: The declining words below are threefold; this is the general statement of his path yielding. The divine eye he obtained was contaminated, indeterminate, and possessed marks, not true. Once confronted by the dual cross-examination, he could not respond, hence this initial declining statement.
