贊曰：下談實德。有二十句，分之為二：初十八句，談內實德；後之二句，諸佛咨嗟等談外實德。舊經雖復前後不同，句義同此。此中二德：一久值良緣德，供養諸佛；二先修本行德，深殖善根。此二總攝四親近行。

Commentary: The following discusses his actual virtues. There are twenty clauses, divided into two parts: the first eighteen clauses discuss his internal actual virtues; the latter two clauses, beginning with 'Praised by all Buddhas', discuss his external actual virtues. Although the old translation differs in sequence, the meaning of the clauses is identical to this. Within this [first section], there are two virtues: first, the virtue of having long encountered favorable conditions, through making offerings to all Buddhas; second, the virtue of having previously cultivated the foundational practices, through deeply planting roots of goodness. These two generally subsume the four practices of intimate association.
