Commentary: Below are revealed the specific causal virtues, having fifteen phrases. Here is one cause: it is born from the five aggregates. 1. The aggregate of morality: all uncontaminated moralities are its nature. 2. The aggregate of concentration: all uncontaminated concentrations are its nature. 3. The aggregate of wisdom: all uncontaminated wisdoms that take the conditioned as their object are its nature. 4. The aggregate of liberation: all uncontaminated mental factors of resolve are its nature. 5. The aggregate of knowledge and vision of liberation: uncontaminated wisdom that takes all unconditioned liberations as its object is its nature. Because these five are superior and because their accumulations are manifold, they are specifically established as aggregates. In the Hīnayāna, they were formerly named the fivefold dharmakāya.
