The commentary says: This explains the reason for the challenge. The true reality forms an undifferentiated whole, which is called 'not manifested by duality', because it is manifested through the gate of non-duality; nor is it manifested by various distinctions. Its substance does not become manifold; or it means it is not manifested by the two kinds of self, nor is it manifested by various arbitrary, conceptually constructed distinctions. How could there be a prophecy? A prophecy is a distinction. It verifies the cause and clarifies the fruit, and so has various differences. True reality has no variety; hence there is neither one who receives a prophecy nor one who does not receive a prophecy.
