贊曰：下有五句明智菩提。分三：初一句，體無所執能證作用；次有二句，以智依如；後有二句，顯智一味。此初文也。一切分別諍論永息，故無所執能證之相，是智菩提。

Commentary: Below are five phrases clarifying bodhi as knowledge. They are divided into three parts: first, one phrase showing that its essence lacks any grasped function of realization; next, two phrases showing knowledge relying on suchness; finally, two phrases revealing that knowledge is of a single flavor. This is the first text. Because all discriminations and disputes are eternally stilled, it lacks the characteristic of a grasped agent of realization; this is bodhi as knowledge.
