贊曰：自下第三，有九句，別明斷及正智離有漏依他菩提之義。有二：初八句，明斷菩提離有漏相；後之一句，明智菩提離有漏相。此中初句，理無方所。此第二句，理無住處，依他有方，可有形段故。亦有住處，為可見故。舊經無住。

Commentary: From here, the third section has nine phrases specifically clarifying the meaning of bodhi in terms of abandonment and correct knowledge being free from the contaminated dependent nature. It has two parts: the first eight phrases clarify bodhi as abandonment being free from contaminated characteristics; the final phrase clarifies bodhi as knowledge being free from contaminated characteristics. Here, the first phrase means that the principle has no spatial location. This second phrase means that the principle has no dwelling place; the dependent nature has spatial direction and can have shapes and portions, and it also has a dwelling place because it can be seen. The older sūtra lacks 'dwelling.'
