贊曰：下詞有三，此總陳道屈。彼迷因菩提、不識體用，由他具述，方始了知。不足對揚，故陳道屈。

Commentary: Below, the declining statement has three parts; this generally states his inadequacy in the Path. He was confused about causal bodhi and did not recognize essence and function; only through the other's detailed exposition did he begin to understand. Being inadequate to converse with him, he thus stated his inadequacy in the Path.
