贊曰：下第三段，有八，名成熟有情。初四無量、後四別行。慈能平等與他樂故，悲能拔苦。行拔濟時，有劬勞皆能忍故。

Commentary: The third section below has eight items, called 'maturing sentient beings.' The first four are the immeasurables; the last four are distinctive practices. Loving-kindness can impart joy to others impartially; compassion can eliminate suffering. When practicing rescue and liberation, one can endure all toils.
