4.218

贊曰：由內證真，受法菀樂，故見他善便助之喜。無嫉妬故。內常歡喜。由自永斷一切煩惱。故能令他捨愛恚等。上四無量，下申別行。

Commentary: Because internally one realizes the truth and experiences the luxuriant joy of the Dharma, when seeing others' goodness, one rejoices with them. Having no jealousy, one is internally ever joyful. Because one has forever severed all defilements, one can cause others to abandon affection, aversion, and the like. The above are the four immeasurables; below, distinctive practices are set forth.
