贊曰：神通是妙覺，由至果位，具六通故。解脫是菩提者，舊云「能背捨故」，即八解脫，能背能捨貪欲等故。今言離分別動者，其八解脫離定障等分別動故。

Commentary: 'Supernormal powers are wondrous awakening' because upon reaching the state of the fruit, one is endowed with the six abhijñās. As for 'Liberation is bodhi,' the older translation says 'because of being able to turn away and discard,' which refers to the eight liberations (aṣṭa-vimokṣāḥ), because they can turn away from and discard sensual desire and the like. Now, saying 'free from the agitation of conceptual discrimination' means that these eight liberations are free from the agitation of conceptual discrimination such as meditative hindrances.
