贊曰：此知菩提樂。知菩提中有廣大樂，而生欣樂，求趣速證無惱害樂。略有四種：一出離樂、二遠離樂、三覺法樂、四寂靜樂。此菩提樂即攝後二，說佛果故。舊云「樂廣菩提心」，知菩提樂而心樂廣，亦無爽也。

Commentary: This is knowing the joy of bodhi. Knowing that within bodhi there is vast joy, one gives rise to delight, seeking to swiftly realize the joy that is free from vexation and harm. Briefly, there are four kinds [of joy]: 1. the joy of renunciation; 2. the joy of seclusion; 3. the joy of awakening to phenomena; 4. the joy of tranquility. This joy of bodhi subsumes the latter two, because it speaks of the fruit of buddhahood. The older translation says 'delighting in broadening the bodhicitta'; knowing the joy of bodhi and delighting in broadening the mind is also not in error.
