贊曰：下第五，有十離惡攝善樂，勝能習非迷是故。初二離惡、後八攝善。此離惡也。於魔能摧，不為彼惱，知諸煩惱皆能永拔。

Commentary: Below is the fifth [group]: there are ten [phrases on] the joy of abandoning evil and gathering the good, because they excel in counteracting the habitual wrong and not being bewildered about what is right. The first two are abandoning evil; the latter eight are gathering the good. This is abandoning evil. One can crush Māra without being troubled by him, and knows that all afflictions can be forever eradicated.
