Commentary: The defiled (sāsrava) wealth of saṃsāra is called "not firm". The supramundane undefiled (anāsrava) wealth is called "firm". Exchanging the former for the latter is called "trading". Taking the unsolid, defiled body, life, and wealth to trade for solid, undefiled, firm body, life, and wealth. The six recollections (anusmṛti) refer to the Buddha, Dharma, Saṅgha, giving, precepts, and cultivation (devatā). Following the teaching to take these as objects is called "recollection". Because one recollectedly attends to these, undefiled mindfulness arises; this is called bringing forth right mindfulness.
