Commentary: Contemplating the pure and wondrous mental aspect of undefiled dharmas brings forth the mind of aspiration and resolute faith. The older translation says, "Toward the six harmonies and reverences, giving rise to a straightforward mind." The six harmonies and reverences are body, speech, mind, precepts, giving, and views: being harmonious and revering one another is called the six harmonies and reverences; thus, giving rise to straightforwardness. Although this meaning is admissible, the phrasing is also completely deficient. Rectifying the marks of the three actions brings forth pure livelihood, because one does not give rise to wrong livelihood through greed or anger.
