Commentary: The coarse heaviness (dauṣṭhulya) of afflictions is called "latent propensities" (vāsanā). All unwholesome dharmas are called "hindrances" because they obstruct superior dharmas. To cut these off, one can then bring forth and realize all wholesome dharmas. "Omniscience" (sarvākārajñatā) refers to the Buddha's two knowledges. All wholesome dharmas and the virtues of the Buddha's body—in order to follow and awaken to these marks of causes and provisions, one is able to bring them forth, realize, and cultivate them. All bodhipakṣa-dharmas cultivated—as long as one attains the causes of awakening, all can be brought forth and gathered; hence they are called "all".
