贊曰：我方乞之食，不非時故，晨朝將入聚落故，整服如鳥翼故。持衣鉢乞必有處，依城中規以供侍，從乞牛乳。

Commentary: 'I was just begging for it': food must not be at improper times, so it was in the early morning; about to enter a settlement, he arranged his robes like a bird's wings. Holding robe and bowl to beg, there must be a specific place; relying on the city's rules to provide service, he begged cow's milk from him.
