贊曰：勸念無始所受眾苦難可忍受，由此乃應饒益有情，勿為煩惱。若有邪命，善法不生，勸修諸善根本淨命，淨命乃是眾善本故。

Commentary: Advising mindfulness of the manifold sufferings endured from beginningless time which are difficult to bear, one should thereby benefit sentient beings and not become afflicted. If there is wrong livelihood, wholesome dharmas do not arise; one advises cultivating pure livelihood, the root of all good, because pure livelihood is the root of all virtues.
