The Commentary says: Below is contemplating mere dharmas: first the contemplation, and then the conclusion. First is the general contemplation, and later the specific contemplation. This is the general contemplation. Generally contemplating this body, it is mutually formed by a combination of dharmas, arising and ceasing from thought-moment to thought-moment, wandering through the cycle of birth and death in the three realms and five destinies. When the four modes of birth arise, it is merely dharmas that arise; at the time of death and cessation, it is also merely dharmas that cease. Sentient beings falsely imagine, claiming: 'I am born and die,' but in truth it is merely dharmas.
