The Commentary says: Below is contemplating abiding in reality and departing from the illnesses of existence and emptiness. This is generally departing from the illnesses of existence and emptiness. 'That which can undergo' refers to the mind and mental factors, which can cognize, cultivate, realize, and receive all dharmas. 'That which is undergone' refers to all dharmas cognized, cultivated, realized, and received by the mind and mental factors. Having an object of undergoing is the falsely clung-to; having a subject that undergoes is the false clinging subject. A bodhisattva who is ill should undergo all sensations without any falsely clung-to object of undergoing. The perspective of the Principle of Emptiness states: Devoid of the two worldly sensations, one experiences emptiness based on the ultimate truth. The perspective of the Principle of Reason states: Devoid of the two clung-to sensations, one relies on the two non-deluded sensations; one should be without an object of undergoing to depart from the illness of existence, and undergo sensations to depart from the illness of emptiness.
