4.79

贊曰：四，生慚也。謬者錯也。無者非也。非是近佛，我得錯聽也。又有解言：無近者，遠也。我雖為侍，心智遠佛，不能知佛，得無近佛而錯聽耶。

Commentary: Fourth, feeling ashamed. 'Miu' means mistaken. 'Wu' means not. [One explanation is:] Was it not that, being close to the Buddha, I could have misheard? There is also another explanation: 'Not being close' means being far away. Although I served as his attendant, my mind and wisdom were far from the Buddha and unable to know him; could it be that, while physically near the Buddha, I misheard?
