4.98

贊曰：此命也。梵云梅呾利耶，翻為慈氏。古云彌帝麗，或云彌勒，皆訛略也。說此本緣，如《彌勒上生疏》上卷。

Commentary: This is the command. In Sanskrit, Maitreya, translated as Ci Shi (the Benevolent One). In antiquity it was called Midili or Mile, which are both erroneous abbreviations. The recount of his original causes is as in the first fascicle of the Commentary on Maitreya's Ascent.
