說無垢稱經疏 5.17

5.17

贊曰：此引教證成。初引、後結。若自有縛，不解他縛，凡夫二乘也。自能解故，能解他縛，如來等也。此說究竟利益一切故。

Commentary: This cites teaching as proof. First the citation, then the conclusion. If one is bound oneself, one cannot unbind others; this refers to ordinary beings and the two vehicles. Being able to unbind oneself, one can unbind others; this refers to the Tathāgatas and so forth. This is spoken regarding the ultimate benefit of all.
