贊曰：自下第二，說不思議。因前讚揚，廣談希有。大文有三：初說不思議、次迦葉歎恨、後重成解脫。初文有三：初總標；次廣說；「唯舍利子」下結。此初文也。八地已上名為不退。有神通名解脫，證真解脫方能起故。亦解脫定障，故名解脫。神用難測，名不思議。

Commentary: From here on, the second [major section] explains the acintya. Following upon the earlier praise, he broadly discusses what is rare. The main text has three parts: first, explaining the acintya; next, Kāśyapa expressing lamentation; finally, re-establishing liberation. The first text has three parts: first, a general indication; next, detailed explanation; concluding from "O Śāriputra..." downward. This is the first text. The eighth stage and above is called non-retrogression. Having spiritual powers is called liberation, because they can only be generated upon realizing true liberation. It is also liberation from meditative obstacles, hence called liberation. Because their supernatural functioning is difficult to fathom, it is called inconceivable.
