贊曰：下答。有二。空理義云：初觀俗諦假有有情，猶如幻事似而非真；後觀真諦本空有情。此初文也。應理義云：初觀依他假有有情，後觀所執本空有情。此初文也。依他起性猶如幻事，似非真故。

Commentary: Below is the answer. It has two parts. In terms of the doctrine of emptiness: first, contemplating the conventionally existent sentient beings of conventional truth, who are like illusory creations, apparent yet unreal; second, contemplating the fundamentally empty sentient beings of ultimate truth. This is the first text. In terms of the doctrine of the rational system (Yogācāra): first, contemplating the dependently arisen (paratantra) conventionally existent sentient beings; second, contemplating the fundamentally empty sentient beings of imagined nature (parikalpita). This is the first text. The dependently arisen nature is like an illusory creation, being apparent yet unreal.
