贊曰：此明習斷有異有著不著。習者習氣，麁重是也。離種子外別有體性，如惡口習、起舞習等。

Commentary: This clarifies that differences in the eradication of predispositions lead to clinging and non-clinging. "Predispositions" (vāsana) are the residual impressions, which are the coarse heavy encumbrances (dauṣṭhulya). They possess an individual entity distinct from the seeds, such as the habit of harsh speech, the habit of rising to dance, and so forth.
