贊曰：答即為八，初希也。事居空室，有此八希，表住真空能生八事。隨應可悉，恐繁且止。內有智慧、外感光明。第一遍知金色普照相續圓滿晝夜為明，唯說大乘，不以二乘日月為照。

Commentary: The answer comprises eight; this is the first rarity. In terms of phenomena, dwelling in an empty room possesses these eight rarities, symbolizing that dwelling in true emptiness can generate eight things. These can be understood according to each case; fearing prolixity, I pause here. Internally there is wisdom, and externally it evokes light. The foremost universal knowledge, with its golden light shining everywhere continuously and perfectly, serves as illumination day and night; it expounds only the Mahāyāna and does not take the sun and moon of the two vehicles as its illumination.
