問：前答居此如住解脫，都無年載。何故今言十二年乎？答：前依真理解脫而答，故答無時；今依修行及住生死之分限故，答十二年。不相違也。

Question: Previously she answered that dwelling here is like dwelling in liberation, having no years or seasons at all. Why does she now say twelve years? Answer: Previously she answered in terms of liberation according to ultimate truth, so she answered that there is no time; now she answers in terms of the delimited stages of practice and dwelling in saṃsāra, so she says twelve years. They do not contradict each other.
