5.51

贊曰：下解妙慧善巧差別。總有二：初皆解慧、後解方便。此解慧也。能觀諸法、身及疾二皆無常等，是名慧，慧能觀故。

Commentary: Below explains the distinctions of wondrous wisdom and skillfulness. In total there are two: first both explain wisdom, and afterwards explain upāya. This explains wisdom. Being able to contemplate phenomena—that both the body and illness are impermanent and so forth—is called wisdom, because wisdom is capable of contemplating.
