贊曰：此第三段無垢讚歎。初讚其德、後釋為女所由。此初也。有六德：一遇良緣、二得神通力、三得智慧、四願滿足、五得無生忍、六至不退地。

Commentary: This third section is Vimalakīrti's praise. First he praises her virtues; later he explains the reason for her appearing as a woman. This is the first part. There are six virtues: first, meeting excellent conditions; second, obtaining the power of abhijñās; third, obtaining wisdom; fourth, fulfillment of vows; fifth, obtaining the patience of anutpāda; sixth, arriving at the stage of non-retrogression.
