5.553

贊曰：第五有五句，依惡修善行。雖處貧窮，而得珍寶之手，出之無盡。雖示缺根，而具相好。相有其惡，心實得善故。

Commentary: In the fifth section there are five phrases, which rely on the bad while cultivating good practices. Although dwelling in poverty, he obtains hands [bestowing] precious jewels, giving them forth inexhaustibly. Although displaying defective faculties, he is complete with the marks and signs. For while his outward appearance has its defects, in his mind he genuinely attains goodness.
