5.561

贊曰：口不道忠信之言為頑，心不測德義之理曰囂。雖現處此愚癡類中，而具才辨總持念慧。雖現邪道處外道等中，而以正道化度一切。

Commentary: The mouth failing to speak words of loyalty and trust is called "obstinate"; the mind failing to fathom the principles of virtue and righteousness is called "insolent." Although he manifests as dwelling among this class of foolish people, he is endowed with eloquence, dhāraṇī, mindfulness, and wisdom. Although he displays heterodox paths, dwelling among non-Buddhists and the like, he transforms and delivers all by means of the right path.
