贊曰：第三徵也。種者因義，能生了因，不善性乖，如何為種？故問此說何密意耶，言甚難了。

Commentary: Third is the interrogation. "Seed" (gotra/bīja) has the sense of a cause, being able to generate a revelatory cause; but unwholesomeness is contrary by nature, so how can it serve as a seed? Therefore he asks what intentional meaning this statement has, remarking that it is very difficult to understand.
