贊曰：下廣。有二：初釋前、後喻顯。此釋前也。「成就」已下，廣上設能；「我等」以下，廣上不能，文意可解。法花會前心猶未猛，不能自知，故自謙責。

The commentary says: Below is the extensive explanation. It has two parts: first explaining the preceding, afterwards clarifying by metaphor. This explains the preceding. From 'accomplish' downward elaborates on the above possibility; from 'we' downward elaborates on the above inability; the meaning of the text is understandable. Prior to the Lotus assembly, their minds were not yet vigorous and they could not know this themselves, hence they humbly blamed themselves.
