Commentary: From here, the third section has twenty-two verses, illustrating compliance with mundane matters to answer the previous question. There are six [parts]: two verses illustrating impermanence; one verse encouraging the pursuit of Buddhahood; two verses on pervasive comprehension; seven verses on eliminating sorrow and suffering; three verses on manifesting skillfulness; and seven verses on rescuing from peril. This is the first text. Just as one uses playthings to perform magical illusions and manifest illness and death, not being real is also like this. Sentient beings mostly grasp the world as permanent; therefore one manifests the outbreak of fire and a body of old age and illness, causing them to know its swift destruction.
