6.280

贊曰：下第四段，歎陳佛事。有二：初阿難讚歎、後佛陳佛事。此初也。佛以利樂有情之事，故名佛事。

Commentary: Below is the fourth section, praising and explaining Buddha-deeds. There are two parts: first, Ānanda's praise; afterward, the Buddha's explanation of Buddha-deeds. This is the first. Because deeds that benefit and bring happiness to sentient beings are performed by the Buddha, they are called Buddha-deeds.
