6.31

贊曰：此反責也。令默所由，已如前辨。對眾徵挵，想非所宜，故今責之勿輕未學。未學尚不可輕，先德如何輒鄙？事未可知。

Commentary: This is reproaching in return. The reason for causing their silence was already explained before. Posing questions and teasing before the assembly was thought inappropriate, so he now reproaches him: 'Do not slight those who are still learning.' If even those still learning must not be slighted, how could senior virtuous ones be hastily disparaged? The matter cannot yet be known.
