贊曰：此量勝劣。汝勿輒思菩薩所有一切境界，下測上位，根地人度悉有異故。其無垢稱，於一食前，請座設食、屏室納賓，如上所陳。所現神力，二乘乃於百千劫作所不能及。解脫菩薩既非餘境，不可校量神通境故。

The Commentary says: This weighs superior and inferior. You must not rashly think about all the spheres of bodhisattvas, for when the lower measures the higher stage, their faculties, grounds, persons, and capacities are all different. Within the span of a single meal, Vimalakīrti requested seats, provided food, and screened his room to receive guests, as set forth above. The supernatural powers he manifested could not be equaled by the two vehicles even if they worked for hundreds of thousands of kalpas. Since a liberated bodhisattva is not the sphere of others, their sphere of supernatural powers cannot be measured.
