贊曰：此有二對。常益有情，不住無為；受法無廢，不盡有為。善根無盡，不住無為；善根不壞，不盡有為。由善根力，持身功德皆不斷壞，不盡有為。

Commentary: Here there are two pairs. Constantly benefiting sentient beings is not abiding in the unconditioned; receiving the Dharma without lapse is not exhausting the conditioned. Wholesome roots being inexhaustible is not abiding in the unconditioned; wholesome roots not being destroyed is not exhausting the conditioned. By the power of wholesome roots, the bodily virtues are sustained without interruption or destruction, which is not exhausting the conditioned.
