6.430

贊曰：此有二對。集妙法藥不息，不住無為；隨病授藥無休，不盡有為。知眾生病能外用故，不住無為；能息眾病永不休息，不盡有為。

The Commentary states: Here there are two pairs. Gathering the medicines of the wondrous Dharma without stopping is not dwelling in the unconditioned; dispensing medicines according to illnesses without resting is not exhausting the conditioned. Knowing the illnesses of sentient beings and being able to apply [remedies] externally is not dwelling in the unconditioned; being able to extinguish the illnesses of all beings without ever resting is not exhausting the conditioned.
