贊曰：五世尊問勸。有四：一佛問、二眾答、三無垢施華、四如來重勸。此初也。

Commentary: (5) The Bhagavat questions and encourages. It has four parts: (1) the Buddha asks; (2) the assembly answers; (3) Vimalakīrti distributes flowers; and (4) the Tathāgata reiterates his encouragement. This is the first.
