贊曰：下第四段，鶖子讚揚。有二：初佛問彼、後彼答讚。此初也。知其已見而更問者，欲發其詞，令聲聞等同願讚故。

Commentary: Below is the fourth section, Śāriputra praises. It has two parts: first, the Buddha asks him; second, he answers and praises. This is the first. Knowing that he had already seen it and yet asking again, he wished to evoke his words so as to cause the śrāvakas and others to share in the vows and praise.
