贊曰：四滅後行化。有二：初明行化時節、二明所化多少。此初也。十中劫者，亦是日月歲數之劫，非餘劫也，違正理故。

The Commentary says: Fourth, carrying out transformation after the extinction. There are two parts: first, explaining the time period of carrying out transformation; second, explaining the number of those transformed. This is the first. The "ten intermediate kalpas" are also kalpas calculated by days, months, and years, not other kalpas, for that would contradict correct logic.
