贊曰：下二於法。廣大學處，菩薩戒。甚深者，《攝大乘》說「菩薩行殺生等十業，而無有罪，生無量福，速證菩提」等。廣大有四：一種種無量學處大、二無量福德大、三利生意樂大、四建立菩提大，皆如彼說。或甚深者，難測量故。廣大者，體用弘博故。一於此法不深敬重，雜敬而輕。二樂財施不樂法施，見現利樂，非後利故。舊經無後二，亦無結文。

Commentary: The latter two are in regard to the Dharma. 'Vast training rules' means the bodhisattva precepts. As for 'profound', the *Mahāyānasaṃgraha* states: 'A bodhisattva performs the ten deeds, such as taking life, yet is without transgression, generates immeasurable merit, and swiftly realizes bodhi,' and so on. 'Vast' has four aspects: first, the greatness of various immeasurable training rules; second, the greatness of immeasurable merit; third, the greatness of the intention to benefit living beings; fourth, the greatness of establishing bodhi—all as stated there. Alternatively, it is 'profound' because it is difficult to fathom, and 'vast' because its substance and function are broad and extensive. First, toward this Dharma they do not have deep reverence, but mix reverence with slighting. Second, they take delight in material giving and do not take delight in the gift of Dharma, seeing present benefit and happiness, rather than future benefit. The old sūtra lacks the latter two, and also lacks the concluding text.
