6.80

贊曰：此釋勅意。一切國土，無有實體，猶若虛空。或法性土，無相如空，何善何惡？佛為化生，隨樂示現，染淨無定。然佛所感報土，清淨無別，故知釋迦土穢隨樂現之，本土清淨與我無異，故於彼土勿生下劣。

Commentary: This explains the meaning of the instruction. All Buddha-lands lack substantial reality, just like space. Or, the land of the nature of phenomena is signless like space; what good or evil is there? The Buddha, in order to transform sentient beings, manifests in accordance with their inclinations, so pure and defiled are not fixed. However, the reward land produced by the Buddha is pure and without difference; thus one knows that Śākyamuni's land is impure merely as a manifestation according to their inclinations, while the original land is pure and no different from ours. Therefore, do not give rise to thoughts of inferiority regarding that land.
